It gives you plenty of energy and a great satiated feeling throughout the day, also allowing you to up your fat in the mornings and last through the fasting hours with no to very little carbs.

Now there are many ways to skin a cat or make a bulletproof coffee, it comes down to personal taste and what your keto / lchf plan will allow to get your daily hit of micro-nutrients.

The original BP Coffee is easy:
1. 20g of Grassfed Unsalted Butter
2. 3/4 of a cup of Coffee (plunger-ed / Espresso)
3. 10 to 30mls of MCT oil (bulletproof XCT is best I have found)
4. This is blended together in an emulsion blender and served.

Nutritional Facts: Calories 345 / Saturated Fat 31.6 (based on 30mls MCT Oil)

Keto Clan BP Coffee:
1. 20g of Grassfed Unsalted Butter
2. 1/2 of a cup of Coffee (2 x Roma pod from Nespresso)
3. 20mls of MCT oil
4. 20mls of full Cream Milk
5. 20mls of thickened Cream
4. This is blended together in an emulsion blender and served.
7. If needed at Stevia or other liquid Sweetener of your choice.

Nutritional Facts: Calories: 359 / Saturated Fat: 38.2g / Carbs Total: 1.7g / Protein: 1.3g (based on 20mls MCT Oil)

The main difference between the 2 versions is? Taste, I honestly don’t mind the 1.7 grams of total carbs as it still leaves me or anyone on the stricter Keto Diets to have 18.3 grams of carbs left for the day and it tastes so so much better.

Whats the main benefits to using it in your keto /lchf diet?

1. Massive energy hit, can be used prior to doing your morning walk, run or weights.
2. Will ramp up your metabolism with caffeine and fats, will push you into burning and generating ketones and this = fat burning.  MCT Oils medium-chain triglycerides has been shown to lead to greater losses in adipose tissue (fat tissue).
3. Helps increase the right fats which will help your body feel satisfied for much longer while intermittent fasting for 10+ hours is needed. It will also allow the body to generate more ketones into the blood which = more fat burning.

    1. Thanks for that. I honestly haven’t tried it with coconut oil yet only with MCT Oil. I may have to give it a try 🙂
